Second quarter recap: Steelers 10, Bengals 6
What went right: The Bengals defense allowed three points despite Pittsburgh running 20 plays in the second quarter. Dre Kirkpatrick also came up with an interception to end one Steelers drive.
What went wrong: The Bengals’ first three possessions of the quarter consisted of nine plays, 12 total yards and three punts. They moved the ball 30 yards on their fourth possession but that drive also ended in a punt.
Key stat: The Bengals struggled to move the ball all quarter but in the final 48 seconds Andy Dalton directed an 8-play, 54-yard drive to set up a Mike Nugent field goal.
Did you notice: Bengals guard Kevin Zeitler threw a key block on a 24-yard Giovani Bernard screen and got up slowly, shaking his head. He remained in the game and finished the drive.

What went right: On a 4th-and-5 at the Bengals’ 37-yard-line, Adam Jones intercepted Ben Roethlisberger to end a Steelers’ drive.
What went wrong: Tight end C.J. Uzomah watched a sure-fire third-down conversion fly through his hands, and on the ensuing Steelers possession, Ben Roethlisbeger connected with Sammie Coates for a 44-yard gain on 3rd-and-9 and then hit Xavier Grimble for a 20-yard touchdown pass.
Key stat: After running the ball 19 times total a week ago (14 by running backs), the Bengals ran the ball five times in their first nine snaps and six times total.
Did you notice: Left tackle Andrew Whitworth lined up on the right side of the line next to Cedric Ogbuehi on the Bengals’ second play of the game, a 5-yard run by Jeremy Hill.
